Week 2 End

Image
8 days of attachment down! I can't believed that two weeks just passed like that, and we are left with only three quarter attachment. Nevertheless, I think it's quite enjoyable. :)  So today, we helped to decorate the bulletin board at the dining area. This board had nothing at all when we started, but here's the end product! :)  The drawing, planning and arranging of materials are all done by val. All I did was to cut, laminate, paste the tape and fold all the hearts. I'm really bad at these art stuff.  Our happy faces when we are done hehe. I think it's one of the more productive thing I've done in attachment! :)  Last week, we also helped the teachers to decorate the dramatic corner's board. Not bad la hor. :)  I'm actually glad that I can interact with the younger kids during this attachment. For the past two years, I've been taking K1 and K2 children. This time, I helped out at the toddler, playgroup and infant care ...

Attachment Week 2 Mid Week

Image
It's mid week! :) This week has been so far so good, and I hope it continues to stay this way or even better :)  Went back for tutorial on Tuesday and finally got to catch up with yan. Chiling and Jacey were sick so both of us were together. Is it fate? HAHA. We didn't manage to talk for long, but still glad that I saw her! :) We are going to Kpopx Fitness together this week hehe.  Thanks for taking train with me! :) I LOVE YOU HEHE.  After which, I went to meet boyfriend for lunch and dinner since he ended early for that day. We used to always meet at dhoby cause it was convenient but I think now we are going to meet at bugis more often, so byebye dhoby. Nic has started school, which is at tampines so that explains why bugis.  We had Ma Maison for dinner.  And after dinner, I had craving for dessert so we managed to found a place. This was Green Tea Red Bean dessert. There are matcha ice cream, glutinous rice ball, red bean, cornfla...

Weekend

Image
This weekend was quite a good one :)  On Saturday, I met Chessneth for an impromptu lunch. Thank you for the time :) Then at night, I went to the first kpopx fitness class. This is actually a free 4-week programme as part of SG50. In this programme, we actually danced 12-14 kpop songs as a way to exercise. At first, I thought it wouldn't be tiring, but you really get to exercise your whole body as you dance for about 50 minutes. It's fun and the instructor was funny. I'm looking forward to class next week!  Then on Sunday (today), we went to momiji for lunch with paternal relatives. Dad say it's bad to always reject them, so we agreed to go. We went to the revenue house's outlet because uncle say there are more choices there, and it's true. I've been to the city square's branch and the food variety wasn't as much compared to here. For people who don't eat much, I'll recommend you to go during weekday lunch because it is $15 more expe...

Teng's trip to sg

Image
The past week has been pretty good because Teng and her boyfriend were here with us :)  Boyfriend and I brought them around on Monday. We went Gardens by the Bay, Art Science Museum and then to aunt house for dinner.  Hahaha it's more like a date for us too. :)  On Wednesday night, their last night here, we went to the airport.  I kind of miss sharing my bed with Teng and having that additional two people in our house.  But oh well, I guess that's how they felt when we stayed at their house. Still hope that they had a good trip :)

Attachment

Attachment has been so far so good :) I'm currently attached under NTUC First Campus - My First Skool with Valarie :)  I like the culture of my current attachment place. The teachers are quite friendly and approachable so it isn't difficult interacting with them. I  also like the environment there. Val and I went around exploring the centre as well as the materials for the past few days. The classroom had an open space concept, but it was surprisingly not noisy. Children were allowed to have free play, and they really get to choose the things they want to play with. It's quite different from what I observed in the previous two centres.  The teachers don't shout. I haven't really hear any teachers' shouting for the past two days. The centre is just filled with children's voice and the noise level isn't that high.  There's an art corner with easel at every classroom. Together with it, there are many materials such as straws, paper bags, sponges, paint ...

Great holiday

Image
Even though Friday was my last day of school, my sem break only last for two days. We need to clear our attachment/internship module during the holiday. So that's like no holiday.  Nevertheless, I had a good weekend :)  Started the Saturday with a pig bun! :)  Cousin came singapore with her bf for a week, so sis brought them to Palau Ubin. Wanted to join them if they were to walk there, but they decided to cycle so I gave it a miss too. Heard that it was quite dangerous to cycle there because there's steep slopes there and everyone went in pair, so there's probably no extra person to take care of me. I'll definitely go there once next time!  At night, brought them to Clarke Quay to explore. I haven't exactly been in CQ late at night, so it was a good experience. :)  Crashed at night because I was super tired.  Today we went ikea for breakfast before heading to the National Museum.  Two exhibitions were undergoing renovation, so we could only see one. Malaysia 7/8/15 - 10/8/15

Image
Went back to Sitiawan during the long weekend because aik was getting married on 8 August. This was probably the worst ever journey back. We left house at 6.30am in the morning, but we only reached johor at 12noon. The jam was so so so bad. When we reached Malaysia checkpoint, it was raining so heavily that we were almost drenched. Settled our lunch at Aeon, retrieved the car, and we immediately set off. There were quite a number of car along the highway so aunt/dad couldn't drive so fast. We reached at around 8.30pm :)  Selfie with sis :)  Along the way, we rest for a few toilet breaks and we got yoghurt icecream with waffles at one stop. This isn't that nice, but I like the waffles! :)  The first thing we did when we reached Sitiawan was to eat steamboat :D orh nom nom. Not a bad start :) After steamboat was just to go aunt house to rest and sleep.  We didn't do much the second day, aunt and mum went to do their hair and went shopping awhile ...
