be brave.

O level results was out on Monday. It kind of reminded me of what happened 3 years ago. My cousin collected her results this year, and she experienced similar things as me. All other subjects were relatively okay, except for English.
I can vividly remember how I felt at that point of time upon receiving my results, how I went up to the staircase to cry alone. I guess after all, it is the disappointment, and you don't expect to see such a grade appearing in your certificate. I remembered how everyone around me encouraged me, but of course, I picked myself up the next day.
I remember, back then, my dream course was accountancy. Before O level was aviation, but because of one engineering module, I decided to go for accountancy instead. After receiving my certificate, I know that I needed another 'back up plan'. I decided to try for accountancy first, then early childhood.
Another dilemma I faced was whether I should give JC a try. It wasn't easy to choose, because most of my friends planned to go JC, and I will be alone if I opt for polytechnic route. I went around asking for advice. That advice that hit me the most was "if you want to enter JC, don't settle for anything less than average because you are going to fight with the RJ people." With that advice, I made my decision to enter poly.
On the day of school posting, I got into early childhood. Secretly, I was disappointed because I didn't get into my first nor second choice. But, ECH wasn't that bad. At least it was one of my interest area - kids.
Looking back, I think it was quite interesting that I felt that disappointment because it makes me feel thankful of whatever I have now. I am truly happy with wherever I am now. I finally understand what it means by "Everything is fated, and there might be better plans for you."
I am truly thankful for those who stood by me as well :)

Wednesday - No school day yay. :) Decided to not have instant noodles or instant soup and go for some healthier lunch. I didn't want to make eating instant food a habit every Wednesday. Laziness took over me, so I just decided to cut some fruits and eat it with yoghurt. And I ended up snacking ALOT.

Thanks Val for the gift from BKK!! It was really generous of her!!

Had field trip to zoo today. :) The last trip with the class before we graduate. There were quite alot of waiting in the morning, but I was glad that the day kind of went well?

Here's a class photo of us!

Me and yan trying out val's selfie stick. :)

S4 group photo!! It was amazing how all of us came in different colours. Though we were told that we can don't need to come in school tee, but surprisingly we all wore it. For me, it was purely because I'm lazy to choose something to wear. But heh, it was a nice trip together!!

So as we walked into the zoo, this was the first animal that I took photo of. Reminded of me, SO LAZY.

Then as we continue to walk to fragile forest, our destination and objectives of the trip, we saw the zebras. Don't you think their butts look so perky and firm? It was the first thought that came to my mind. LOL
So we went in to fragile forest and had a tour. The tour guide was someone yan and I met during safari boo.Well, tour around fragile forest was... scary. I was so scared that the animals will come disturb me, take my things, hurt me, or basically, I just don't want to have any physical contact with them.
I think I went around feeling scared and screaming (LOL). Coming in contact with animals is just... not my cup of tea. I can't do this.
We saw many animals like the mousedeer, duck, bat, flying fox, birds and some other animals.
One interesting fact: Ducks can fly!
Second interesting fact: Not all bats are nocturnal animals.

So here's a bat.
Third interesting fact: They don't pee upside down. :)
Then we went in to this place where it was only available for school tour and not for public. It is the place where they prepare food for the animals, and the breeding places. That was where more scary things happened.
We were shown the life cycle of a butterfly. I think the first three stages of it were pretty okay. But the tough part came when we went into the enclosed area where all the butterflies are flying FREELY. We were given a choice whether to enter or not. My initial decision was NOT to enter. After much thoughts, and seeing my friends in there, I decided to be brave and go in. I tried to stick my lips together so I wouldn't scream, and also to stay as long as possible and just stand in the middle of my friends. Thankfully, I didn't scream at all. I'm kind of glad that I got to experience something different too. :)
After which, we were shown animals like cockroach, stick insect, and spider. And that was the end of the tour, which lasted for about 1 hour 45 minutes.
Something that I have learnt for the day is: Being a teacher is not easy. You can't show your fear to your children because this will create fear in them too. Instead, you need to be brave and show to children that it is nothing scary, and encourage them to try too.
I really hope I can do that next time.
Anyway that's all for now. Hope you enjoy this post :)
