LAC'13

I'm back from LAC (leadership adventure camp) 

i think i will put some pictures here and there, if not whole chunk of words will just be too boring. 

the first activity was actually ice breaking games and we played quite a few games but i think i was rather quiet at that point of time, cause i'm not those that will open up to strangers.

my group name is Na'vi! :) for your info, the theme of the camp was fantasy so our group decided to choose Avatar! isnt the tribal design nice? :) 2 of my group mates drew that by themselves :)

after deciding on the cheers and designing the box, we had lunch before proceeding to outside school for an amazing race :) the amazing race was played in HDB areas where one block is super super big. At least like 3 or 4 extensions. we had to find the hidden QR code to get our clues :) 

this was us after the last station. had macs for dinner and i tried the samurai beef burger and i think it was okay la haha. 

after dinner, we had to play this flip-the-canvas game. basically, each of us had a mat. we have to get from the starting point to the ending point by flipping the mat. at all time, no one is allowed to speak and no one is allowed to step on the ground, if not we had to restart. it was really hard cause we need to strategise and we just kept restarting the game :/ WE SPENT 5 HOURS ON THIS GAME. but there was a sense of satisfactory when we completed it!! :D

after the game, we had debrief. for this camp, all debrief session aka htht had to have a candle lighted up in the middle of the group. so we just talked and discuss and my facil said that i was a calm person! :D so we went to bathe and all and i slept because i was really really tired. 

second day was pretty fun :) first, we had morning exercise. actually it's just stretching and then we proceed to playing some games before heading for breakfast :) after breakfast, we went to try the high elements. :) due to some miscommunication and all, our group only tried the wheelchair basketball and abseiling. 

abseiling was fun and IM REALLY PROUD OF MYSELF FOR COMPLETING IT. to others, it may be chicken feet for them, but for me a person who is afraid of viking ship, i think it was really brave of me! :D it was a 4-storey abseiling so we had to climb up first. the stairs was really steep and you can see everything on the ground. when i was climbing up halfway, i was really scare and i wanted to give up. but i just hold super tightly to the side so i could go up. while waiting for my turn on top, i was totally shivering but i just tried to calm myself down. i told myself  "poly is about trying new things, so yes im going to be brave and yolo and try this thing" thankfully the facilitator was very nice to assure me that things were going to be fine, and appreciated the encouragements that Na'vi gave! :D  

we had lunch and then a DISC workshop where alot of people just zone out because of lack of sleep. and that includes me. i slept for like 10 mins cause i really couldn't take it anymore. at night, we had night game. so we had to go to find clues to solve the mystery. meanwhile, there were many "ghosts" wandering all around and ofc they look really scary. i'm freaking scare of them. but when we see them, we have to close our eyes and freeze. they can choose to kidnap one of the group member also. we managed to find 4 clues and save germaine out from the prison :) 

during HTHT, my facil said that i open up alot on the second day! :) which is a very good achievement for me. I'm really proud of myself. i will change and try new things. IF NOT NOW, THEN WHEN? so we had macs for supper yay hehe.

many wanted to stay awake to chat or play,  but i was really tired so i just slept at 3. feeling so bad :( 

surprisingly, in the morning, many alarms rang. i dont get why alarms can wake everyone else up except for the owner itself. breakfast and then we proceed to hunger games. so for this games, we were split into 4 district. every round, we have to do some things and once everyone finish it, they can slide over to grab the flag that was in the middle of the field. the winner team gets to pick a team to throw water bomb at them :) lastly, to end the game, we had to roll over water + detergents + soils. i think this game was really fun!!!

really thankful for Na'vi :)

so this is my GL :) he reminds me of cat because of the way he act and all, that's why he gave me a sense of familiarity. but he is a really nice GL that take care of our welfare really well :) 

hehe so this is Slutty VJJ at LAC camp! dont ask why we have such bitchy names. but really love them alot!! i think they are the most comfortable groups of people that i can hang out with in poly :)

these 3 days were really well spent! :)

i never knew i could achieve so much either. but i hope i can merge in more easily next time.

gonna sleep now goodnight! im like a dead zombie haha.
